Money Exchange Japanese public transport, stores and restaurants will not accept foreign currencies. You will need small amounts of yen for immediate use. If you have foreign bank notes, it is wise to convert some of them to yen at airport. As for traveler's checks, few stores or restaurants accept them.

Japan Rail Pass Exchange Check in Japan rail ticket office at airport (open from 7:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.daily) for exchanging your Japan Rail ticket to Japan Rail Pass. The Japan Rail Pass provides unlimited travel on the national network of JR railways, including the Shinkansen "bullet trains". The Japan Rail Pass cannot be purchased in Japan. You have to purchase a ticket for JR pass at travel agency in your country before your departure.

Luggage Delivery If you don't want to carry your luggage, You can arrange to have your luggage delivered to anywhere in Japan next day. Fee per luggage up to 30kg is about 2000 yen.
